Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts magazine is published quarterly for both subscribers and newsstand readers. The editorial team passionately searches for and features interesting and creative scrollers, projects, and techniques. Each issue includes inspiring feature articles and galleries showing artists stretching the art of scroll sawing, comprehensive step-by-step articles outlining the steps to recreate a project, pattern profiles to inspire more experienced readers, and reviews of the newest and most useful tools.

Fox Chapel Publishing

Fox Chapel Publishing publishes books, magazines, patterns, and videos for do-it-yourself enthusiasts. We inspire and inform readers who enjoy a variety of crafts and hobbies, including woodworking, jewelry making, scrapbooking, sewing, boating, backyard farming, wine- and beer-making, and much more.

Our greatest joy comes from working with talented craftspeople to make their designs and techniques available for everyone who shares the love of creating things by hand.

We publish two magazines, Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts and Woodcarving Illustrated, and more than 200 book and DVD titles. Our imprints include Design Originals and Heliconia Press.

Meet the Editorial Team

Alan Giagnocavo, Publisher

Alan Giagnocavo is the publisher of Fox Chapel Publishing. The company got its start in 1991 when Alan Giagnocavo relocated to Lancaster County, Pa., from Canada. Alan had worked at a family bookstore for many years, and moved to the United States to start a business of his own.

Dorissa Bolinski, Managing Editor
Dorissa Bolinski has worked as an editor for her entire career, dealing with subject matter as diverse as health and fitness, technology, and higher ed. She has a life-long love of the arts and a deep appreciation of people who spend their lives creating things. She joined Fox Chapel Publishing in 2023.

Kelly Umenhofer, Editorial Administrator
Kelly Umenhofer was born and raised in Lancaster, Pa. Her first experience with woodworking was constructing sets and scenery for theatre productions at her high school. She joined Fox Chapel Publishing in March 2021.
