Beautiful handmade furniture can be built for any size doll
In the Summer 2011 issue of Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts (SSW43), Kirk Ratajesak offers patterns for fretwork wooden doll furniture. Rolf Beuttenmuller cut the chair and quilt rack from cherry and the table from oak.
Every little girl loves doll furniture, and pieces crafted by a parent or grandparent will be treasured far more than store-bought pieces. Barbie’s custom vanity will be the talk of the playground and the lucky owner can proudly say, “My pappy made it for me!”

The attached pattern for the chairs are scaled for Barbie®-style 11 1/2″-tall dolls. Increase the size of the patterns by 157% for 18″ dolls such as American Girl® dolls. Adjust the slots to fit the width of the stock when enlarging or reducing patterns.
